The classes are a combination of both Pilates and Yoga. (PIYO) You will move at a decent tempo from pose to pose and from exercise to exercise. Some exercises are performed seated, standing, prone, supine, and side lying. It is recommended that participants be barefoot and use a Yoga style sticky mat. The class is suitable for beginners to advanced students and offers many levels for modifications. In that Joseph Pilates was himself a student of Yoga, you will see that many of our poses/exercises are taken directly from the ancient practice of Yoga. However, you will enjoy the benefits of training the core (abs, trunk, back) by employing the rigors of the Pilates method.
We will start with offering a few classes throughout the week but will be looking forward to adding classes and instructors as necessary.
**Bringing your own yoga mat is suggested but not required. **Bottles of water will be available to purchase. Schedule coming soon.....
